This week has been pretty exciting as far as the temperature and snow went. We got enough snow yesterday that they saw it fit to cancel church. That was super lame. I didn't think it was enough snow
to not have church, but what can you do. The temperature is also pretty stinking low. With the wind chill, it's like -20, and we have to walk in it because our bikes won't go through this much snow (Plus Detroit doesn't know what a snow plow is. They just know how to spread salt). It's actually not too bad.
But New Years was pretty exciting! We decided to stay up until midnight, because we heard some pretty crazy things happen in Detroit come the New Year. And holy cow!! It was crazy!! Once 12 AM came, it sounded like we were in a war zone. For like 15 minutes straight, it was just a non stop barrage of gun fire of all sorts. From shot guns to machine guns, and a few flash-bangs thrown in the mix. All of this was a little ways away, because while we are a live in Detroit, we are like 100 feet from a really nice city, so it wasn't as exciting as it could have been :) What was also funny, is that people were saying this year was pretty tame as far as the guns go.
So yeah, not much else happened this week. Probably because walking in a foot of snow takes a lot of time :)
