A Baptism!

December 30, 2013

I've been out 11 months already!?! That's so crazy!! Time is going by too quickly!!

But anyways, this week was pretty great! Christmas was pretty stinking awesome, and the best part was for sure being able to Skype my family on Christmas day. It totally made my week.
Christmas Eve was really cool as well. My mission had a Christmas party, where we did a cool service project making wooden toy trucks to give to kids that we felt could use them. We then had a bunch of musical numbers. Some were better than others, but it was still really good :) Our district did a musical number as well. I think it went okay. But who knows :)

For some unknown reason, our mission has told all of the missionaries to get rid of our backpacks and use these super dumb man-purse things. They look pretty...hmm, and they're super annoying. It wouldn't be so bad if you are in a car area, but with a bike it's a pain. It's only one strap. Think about it.
So I have been talking with some of my companions, both past and current, and I realized that I have gotten a baptism on my mission!! :) The super golden investigator that was in Riverview was somebody that I started teaching, and just a few weeks after I got transferred, she got baptized. I finally got a baptism!! Woo!! It feels good! Now I just need to get a few more :)

Hope you all had a merry Christmas, and I hope you have a happy New Year!
