This week was good. I don't have a huge amount of stuff to report on, so this should be an easy read :)
We've
been working on bringing the priests our with us, so there was one
priest that we took out this past week, and when we took him with us, we
pretty much just went tracting for an hour and a half, and it also
rained a bunch during that time too :) But on Sunday,
he bore his testimony in sacrament meeting about how it was a really
good experience and about how one lady that we tracted into was very set
that all she needed was the bible, and how grateful he is for the Book
of Mormon. It was really cool to hear that.
So
here's something that pretty much never happens, we had a potential
investigator that we talked super briefly with a couple of times come
out of the blue to all three hours of church! We tracted into her a
while ago, and just stopped by Saturday
to say hi and invite her to church and really to see if she had much
potential. Well, she came to church without us telling her really
anything about it, so it was a little different for her, but I think she
had a good time, because she participated in class and had some great
comments, and we set up an appointment to meet with her later this week.
:) We had a lesson with Pamela that went well. We asked our Bishop to
come to the lesson (Mostly because he is a social worker and works for
LDS family services, so he understands how people work... And we don't
understand Pamela very well) and he helped a bunch with asking some
fantastic questions and giving great answers. But we learned that Pamela
really dislikes structure, and the reason for that is, she grew up in a
household that had the mentality "This is what we believe, and that's
the end if it." So she is in a bit of a rebellious stage right now
toward most things that are structured, and that includes religion and
stuff. So it might take a bit of time to overcome those things. That's
okay though.
Amber is still doin' good, so that awesome :)
We tracted for what felt like 1000 hours, so we're working hard :)
So yeah, thanks for reading!
